Glasgow Community Energy's first Community Share Offer ran from 18 May to 18 June 2021, inviting local people and organisations to become members of our community-owned renewable energy co-operative.

Share Offer Results

The share offer was a great success. We received over 170 applications and exceeded our £30,000 target — the amount needed to repay the loans that funded our two solar installations:

  • Ashton Secondary School, Easterhouse
  • Glendale Primary School / Bunsgoil Ghaidhlig Ghleann Dail, Pollokshields

What Happened Next

Applications were processed according to our published schedule. Share statements were issued in July 2021 and the first Annual General Meeting for new members took place in early 2022.
